1. Brief description of the basic structure of the host
The characteristics or advantages of the single screw air compressor are reflected in the main machine: and the characteristics or advantages of the main engine are reflected in its basic structure.
The main engine of the single screw air compressor is composed of a cylindrical screw and two symmetrically configured planar starwheels gnawing auxiliary in the main engine housing. The screw groove of the screw, the inner wall of the main engine shell, and the tooth surface of the star wheel constitute the working volume of the air compressor. The motor directly drives the screw shaft to rotate, and the screw then drives the star wheel to rotate. The gas enters the screw groove through the suction port on the main casing, and then discharges through the exhaust hole on the main casing after compression. There are also water spray holes on the main casing to spray lubricating water into the working volume to seal, cool and lubricate.
2. The working principle of the oil-free single screw air compressor host
As shown in the figure: when the screw rotates counterclockwise around its axis, it simultaneously drives the two star wheels to rotate, due to the symmetrical reverse configuration of the two star wheels, so on the projection surface of its axis, one does counterclockwise and the other rotates clockwise. For the convenience of the description, we have numbered each screw groove and the corresponding star gear teeth. We see that the air in the screw groove numbered (1) has been compressed to the end of the end, the groove has been connected to the exhaust triangle hole, and the groove numbered (2) has been completely closed by the starwheel tooth 2, and the air in the groove is being compressed; The groove numbered (3) is about to complete the suction process and will soon be closed by the star gear tooth 3. From the figure, we can see that the screw grooves (1), (2), and (3) are all working, and the screw grooves (4), (5), and (6) are also doing the same work on the other side. This is the first feature of the single screw air compressor: that is, each groove has to work once on the left and right sides during the rotation of the spindle  , which is impossible to achieve in any other type of compressor.
In addition, we will also see the second major feature of the single screw: that is, the axial high pressure end of the screw is closed, which shows that the axial compression gas force of the single screw is an internal force, so the screw is not affected by the axial force. Due to the symmetrical configuration of the star wheel on both sides of the screw, although the radial force of the screw is not an internal force, the two radial forces cancel each other out, so that the screw force is completely balanced.
Not only that, we will also see the third feature of the single screw, that is, the friction force on the friction pair between the screw groove and the star wheel is parallel to the gas force acting on the star wheel plate, so the gas force has no effect on the friction force, which is the key factor in establishing power lubrication, and it is also the most important factor why the star wheel has a long working life.
