Eliminate price fraud in air compressors

   On June 2, 2022, the State Administration for Market Regulation announced the "Regulations on Clearly Marking Prices and Prohibiting Price Fraud" by Order No. 56, which will come into effect on July 1, 2022.

   After comprehensive analysis and refinement, the "Regulations" have a total of 27 articles, which have supplemented and improved the regulations on operator pricing behavior and the requirements for punishment for violations.

After the implementation of the "Regulations", compressor machine enterprises, especially air compressor direct stores, distribution agents, and third-party mechanical and electrical maintenance companies with spare parts distributors, need to pay special attention to the rules and requirements of the "Regulations" regarding price comparison, discounts, reductions, and gifts by operators to avoid being deemed as prohibited price fraud. At the same time, when providing equipment delivery, handling, installation, debugging and other ancillary services for air compressor customers with compensation, they should also be clearly priced according to regulations; If products of the same brand or type are priced differently due to differences in color, shape, regulations, venue, grade, and other characteristics, the product names should be marked separately for different prices to indicate differences; Efforts should be made to avoid the price fraud behavior and methods commonly used by air compressor operators in the past. At the same time, exemption situations that do not belong to price fraud should be reasonably and appropriately adopted.
